About Berkeley County Criminal History

Berkeley County records are divided among local courts, law enforcement, and statewide systems. Martinsburg is the county seat, yet no single downtown counter holds every criminal file. We created this private reference resource to connect readers with the correct public office, official portal, mailing address, or phone line for the record they need.

Why We Built This Site

Finding the custodian is often harder than finding the form. The Berkeley County Sheriff's Office keeps its own incident reports, while Eastern Regional Jail custody data runs through the West Virginia Division of Corrections and Rehabilitation. Magistrate Court records cover misdemeanors and the early stages of many felonies. The Circuit Clerk keeps the later Circuit Court file. A personal fingerprint history comes from the West Virginia State Police Criminal Identification Bureau, and registry searches use the West Virginia State Police Sex Offender Registry. We organize those separate routes, including the fees and request steps documented by each office.
